About Christopher

My path to becoming a psychotherapist and Tibetan Dur Bön practitioner began in childhood. From the age of four, I was trained in this ancient form of medicine, emotional healing and lifestyle practices – a system which existed for millennia,  before Buddhism.

The basic principles of Bön centre on taking a natural, integrated approach to treating imbalances in the mind, body and spirit

It’s been a lifetime’s journey for me to get to where I am today. Where I’ve joined established methods of modern psychotherapy together with ancient Bön medical traditions, mental exercises, treatments and meditations.

From small beginnings in London…

In the late 1980s I first set up my clinic in a small side street in Kensington, London. I was inspired to call it the Eden Medical Centre as it was on ‘Adam and Eve Mews’ – my little joke! From there I practiced Tibetan Dur Bön medicine alongside a number of talented doctors and specialists, alternative and complementary health experts. Over time, it became one of most well regarded integrated medical centres of its type in the world.

It also became clear to me that there was so much to be gained by understanding how Tibetan Dur Bön and mainstream medicine could work together and give my clients an even more successful experience. Slowly, medical doctors, specialists and psychologists began to share my positive view towards collaborating.

As the new millennium dawned, I moved my practice to much larger premises in the King’s Road, Chelsea. The clinic rapidly expanded and I became its medical director. And it was here that I continued to treat hundreds of people of all ages, from all walks of life – bus drivers to global leaders, celebrities, and everyone in between.

…to a world-wide reputation

Then and today, I work with people who are experiencing severe health issues: physical, psychological and emotional. Whether that's advising pregnant mothers or helping those who need to change their lifestyle and follow new directions to positively rebuild their lives.

I also want to mention that I'm trained in trauma psychotherapy, using methods that have been tested in the harshest, most challenging environments. From war zones, where people have suffered terrible physical injuries, social and political upheaval. To natural disasters, along with the shock, devastation and displacement of their families and communities being torn apart.

Even in extreme situations such as these, my Tibetan medical knowledge can be universally applied. To help people find positive, lasting ways to make sense of whatever hell they've been through. Get their lives back on track, and put the chaos and confusion of their past behind them.

Christopher has helped me to understand how I became so depressed and provided me with tools to ensure I can maintain balance and well-being in the future.
